Our own Colombian cycling store, moved from Shopify Liquid to a headless Hydrogen, Remix and Oxygen stack with a rebuilt tracking layer. We run it, so every mistake and every fix costs us first.

The challenge
Cyclewear belongs to iDeum, which means we had the operator's stake and the agency's job at the same time. The legacy Liquid theme scored 47 on Lighthouse performance, loaded JavaScript that blocked first interaction, and carried a tracking setup held together with pasted snippets. We wanted to prove a headless migration could work for cycling retail in Latin America without giving up Shopify's admin and fulfilment.
What we built
We rebuilt the storefront on Shopify Hydrogen and Remix, deployed on Oxygen, with server-side rendering on every product and collection page. The render-blocking scripts went. The fragmented tags were replaced by one GTM container driving GA4, the Meta Conversions API server-side, the TikTok pixel and Klaviyo. MercadoPago handles Colombian payments natively.
Key features
- Shopify Hydrogen + Remix headless architecture
- Oxygen edge deployment for minimal TTFB
- Server-side rendering on all product and collection pages
- Unified GTM container: GA4 + Meta CAPI + TikTok Pixel + Klaviyo
- Meta Conversions API (server-side) for accurate attribution
- MercadoPago native integration
- Operator ownership — iDeum runs Cyclewear as a live proof-of-concept
Results
In our own Lighthouse runs the performance score went from 47 to 93 and total blocking time fell by 94%, with a 100 SEO score. The store is live and is where we test tracking and attribution changes before recommending them to clients. Revenue figures reported during the project are in the impact panel pending verification.

The operator note
We read Cyclewear's ROAS reports as owners. When the tracking broke after the migration we knew the numbers were wrong, because we could compare them with real order volume. The Meta CAPI deduplication problem is the most common silent error in headless Shopify deployments. We know because we had it on our own store, diagnosed it with our own money at stake and built the fix. An agency without that exposure would have shipped the migration and moved on. We did not have that option.
