The challenge
1000Partes wanted to connect motorcycle mechanics and enthusiasts in Medellín with OEM parts from the major brands: AKT, Bajaj, Hero, Honda, TVS, Victory, Yamaha. Until then it all ran on phone calls. The platform had to replace that with a search a mechanic could use from the workshop, on a phone.
What we built
We built a Next.js platform with parts search by motorcycle brand and model, mechanic profiles and a directory, enquiry-based lead generation instead of a cart, and a blog of brand-specific guides. The whole interface is mobile-first because it gets used in a workshop.
Key features
- Parts search by motorcycle brand/model
- Mechanic directory & profiles
- Lead generation via inquiries
- 100+ motorcycle brands catalog
- Brand-specific content blog
- Mobile-first for workshop use
Results
The platform is live with the parts catalogue, brand coverage and enquiry flow in place. Catalogue size and enquiry volume are still being verified.

The operator note
Motorcycle parts in Colombia is a relationship market. Mechanics know their distributors, and distributors know which mechanics order what and in what volume. For decades that ran on phone calls, WhatsApp messages and personal ties. 1000Partes did not try to replace those relationships. It made discovery digital and left negotiation to people.
That is why an enquiry model, where the mechanic finds the part, sends an enquiry and the distributor answers, worked better here than add-to-cart. The catalogue is the discovery layer; the enquiry is the conversion. Build the catalogue first and earn the transaction later. The trade-off is that revenue depends on distributors answering quickly, which the platform cannot control.
