The challenge
BikeExchange needed to open a Colombian branch of the marketplace and, at the same time, improve the frontend used by every market worldwide. Both had to happen on the same codebase, with local payment methods and dealer onboarding on the Colombian side.
What we built
We launched the Colombian branch with localised payment methods and onboarded the dealer network. Alongside that we contributed to the global Next.js frontend, working with the Contentful CMS integration and the CommerceTools commerce backend that serve every market.
Key features
- Global Next.js frontend
- Colombian market localization
- Contentful CMS integration
- CommerceTools backend
- Multi-brand catalog (Trek, Giant, Specialized)
- Dealer network management
Results
The Colombian branch launched and our frontend work shipped to the worldwide platform. We have no verified transaction figures to share.

The operator note
Working on a marketplace that size, on both the Colombian launch and the shared frontend, gave us a view most agencies in Colombia do not get. We saw how a global cycling platform is put together, what Contentful plus CommerceTools looks like at that scale, and what it takes to keep one codebase serving many markets at once instead of localising a copy per country.
That is the context we bring when a Colombian cycling client asks whether their platform will scale. We have seen scaled from the inside. One shared codebase means a Colombian change goes out in the same release as every other market. That is slower than a local fork, and it is the right call.
