01

The challenge

Moof wanted to launch a marketplace for electric vehicles and rentals, with phased development and legal compliance across several jurisdictions. Vehicle registration, financing and insurance rules for EVs in Colombia are still changing, and a platform that assumed today's rules would be rebuilt within a year.

02

What we built

We delivered a detailed roadmap and proposal, then built a prototype on Shopify Plus with custom React components, with logistics and payment systems integrated and analytics in place. The vehicle listing and rental booking flows are designed around the compliance framework rather than bolted onto it.

The operator note

EV commerce in Colombia sits between regulatory uncertainty and real demand. People want these vehicles, and the rules around registering, financing and insuring them are still being written. Moof asked us for a platform, and we delivered the roadmap and prototype. We also delivered a structural point: a marketplace that handles the e-commerce layer and ignores financing, insurance and registration is a brochure with a checkout button. The phased plan expects the rules to move. That is the difference between a development roadmap and a product strategy.
