The challenge
Palomino Clasificados needed a classifieds marketplace for several cities, easy to use without instructions and filtered by where the user is. It had to launch as an MVP first.
What we built
We built the portal on WordPress with WooCommerce, added geolocation plugins for the city filters, designed the interface in Figma and connected a local payment gateway. Sellers get a dashboard.

The operator note
A classifieds marketplace in Colombia is a trust problem before it is a technology problem. Buyers and sellers need to believe the platform has critical mass in their city and that the listings are real. A classifieds site for Medellín gains nothing from calling itself the national platform. It gains from knowing Medellín.
So geographic targeting was the product decision that shaped the rest. Before features, before payment options, the question was whether a listing feels relevant to where I am. WordPress and WooCommerce let us iterate fast on an MVP without over-engineering something that still had to prove market fit. The trade-off is that the stack will need replacing if the marketplace grows, and we would rather replace it then than build the custom version first.
